Having recently graduated from Cambridge with BA in Chemical Engineering through a route of Natural Sciences (Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Materials science studied in first year), Babar currently works as a Strategy consultant, while offering tutoring services in his free time. He achieved 3 A*s and 1 A at A-Levels in Math, Chemistry, Physics and Further maths. This was after he was administered into hospital for the month of January due to falling ill – 3 months before his final A level exams. As such, he has experienced, and complete understanding of the difficulties associated with trying to sift through the waffle in text books to pick out what you actually need to know.
Previously he has tutored in community schools in community areas, teaching in small groups and individually to assist struggling students in achieving their potential. This is where he achieved his Stimulus STEM tutoring certificate.
Babar’s key skills are in providing intuitive understanding to complex problems. Whether its circuits in Physics, vectors in math or electron shells in chemistry, he digs deeper into the fundamentals of problems to help solve the exterior challenges. His teaching style focuses on providing deeper understanding to complex problems, along with a strong focus on exam technique. This ensures that knowledge translates into actual increases in grade, rather than just extra waffle on the page.
See below, as an old colleague describes Babar and his teaching.
- “Having known Babar for the better half of a decade as a colleague and a friend, I have witnessed first-hand the way he explains and conveys complex problems whether academic or not into smaller solvable summaries. Babar is meticulous, thoughtful and considerate with his approach to teaching and these are desirable qualities to have when teaching physics where concepts can be quite abstract. I wholeheartedly recommend Babar as your Tutor as I know he can get the most out of each session you have with him.”
